Mock Interviews at Netherhall School

Is it your first time volunteering with us? Click here

If you have not volunteered with us before you will need to complete our Volunteer Registration Form before signing up to this event. This will only take 2 minutes and afterwards you'll be able to come back to this page to sign up for the event.

Help students develop essential interview skills.

Preparing for employability is about enabling individuals to gain the skills and experience they need to gain, maintain and make progress in employment. Promoting oneself in a way that attracts the attention of selectors and recruiters, as well as managing the applications process, requires individuals to develop a range of self-presentation and marketing skills.

Taking part in interviews is an essential career management skill that we use throughout our lives.

Every student will face the daunting task of preparing for an interview, whether that’s for a part time job, college application or an apprenticeship.

By volunteering at this event you can help students to:

  • identify their strengths
  • learn about transferrable skills
  • gain confidence in speaking to new people

Your task as a volunteer will be to conduct mock interviews. Not only will you be sharing your expertise you but will also give students an authentic experience of interacting with professionals in a comfortable setting.

If you or someone from your organisation is available, please register for more information about the event or contact David Brockway (dbrockway@formthefuture.org.uk) with any questions.

This session will support schools in working towards achieving Gatsby Benchmark 3: Addressing the needs of each student. Students are encouraged to identify the relevant experience and skills they have developed and how best to communicate these to prospective employers.

If this is your first event with us, please create a profile on our portal, it should only take a couple of minutes to sign up - https://www.formthefuture.org.uk/register/ (Info video how to sign up). Otherwise please register and you will receive a confirmation email with further details and a Briefing Note.
